The grape contains the mystery of every soil, every plot, every area, every harvest.
The vineyard is the soul of Bodegas Ondalán. Our wines are born at the unique “terroir” of Rioja Alavesa. They are nourished on well drained calcareous clay soil and face southeast. These soils give our grapes further complexity. The important varieties are Tempranillo and Graciano, which coexist with other noble wines, such as Garnacha Tinta, Mazuelo and Viura.

We play an active part in conserving the biodiversity. We help to maintain a landscape, a cultivation where all kinds of species living there can interact with each other so that our ecosystem can be more resistant to any disturbance.
The unique proportion in which the different varieties take part, such as the characteristics of the soil where the cultivation is, determines a harmonious balance that transforms the Ondalán wines into a unique sensation.
